  • It is an activity that consists of walking down the high channel of a river, which implies putting into play very diverse skills and techniques. Asturian rivers have very different configurations in their channels. There will be times when you will need to swim, when you have to practice climbing techniques, jump in water pools, slide on natural slides, among other things.

Canoeing:

  • Canoeing down the Sella River is one of the most popular activities in the area, as it is where you can discover the beautiful Asturian landscapes between Cangas de Onís and Arriondas. There is an international race that takes place every year on the first Saturday of August, between the towns of Arriondas and Ribadesella, in total are 20km, and in charge of this race is the Spanish Canoeing Federation, the Principality of Asturias Rowing Federation and the Sella International Descent Committee.

Walking Route – Rio Dobra to Olla de San Vicente:

  • This route is the most popular in Cangas de Onís, has a total distance of 5km (roundtrip), and has a duration of 1h and 30m. This route is considered easy and is not advisable to go by bicycle due to the stone pavement.
